I cannot believe I find myself praising the journalistic quality of a Daily Mail article but here I am.
Why?
Because they neither hyped nor sensationalised the impartial reporting of a recent research study on the Effects of Cannabis, Cannabidiol [CBD] and the psychoactive element, THC, on Drivers.
What Are They Saying?
Their article states: 'CBD does NOT impair driving...' and goes on to highlight the study, conducted in the Netherlands, by scientists from the University of Sydney, Australia.
'Cannabis that contains mainly Cannabidiol (CBD) has been found, for the first time, not to impair driving, according to a landmark study.'
Just to remind readers this is the very same type of CBD products that we sell.
So it's cheering to note that they conducted the studies on real live human beings. Researchers used no mice and there was not a petri dish in sight. But, armed with companion drivers, the CBD-infused ones at the steering wheels were tested in true life driving situations on public highways.
Lead author (of the Research) Dr. Thomas Arkell said: 'These findings indicate for the first time that CBD, when given without THC, does not affect a subject's ability to drive. That's great news for those using or considering treatment using CBD-based products.'
Global Recognition.
'CBD has taken the world by storm with its medicinal powers that treat a number of conditions such as epilepsy, anxiety, chronic pain and addiction,' continues the article.
So well done. I'm acknowledging this representative of mainstream media for reporting it as it actually is. They added no slant or angle designed to illicit misinformation or sensationalism, just straightforward reporting - and that's real gold dust in these times.
What a breath of fresh CBD.
Obviously, we know how wonderful it is as do our lovely customers but this study should add a little more weight to the argument for adopting a lighter perspective on quality CBD products.
